Background and qualifications
*Retired Navy Attack Pilot
*Retired Deputy Director of Aviation Operations for the Department of Homeland Security
*Retired University Professor of Political Science
*Author of Politics in America: Lecture Notes of a Lunatic Professor

\r\n

I worked in the federal government for my entire adult life, so I am very familiar with how they become successful at solving problems and how they fail miserably. I also taught Political Science at six different universities as an Adjunct Professor, so I am quite familiar with American government, political philosophy, comparative government, and international relations.

\r\n

Main goals
Our Founding Fathers made a mistake in our Constitution by not putting Term Limits on elected officials at the Federal level. All power corrupts, and the longer you remain in power, the more likely it is that you have become corrupt. I will write legislation that establishes Term Limits on members of Congress: 2 terms as a Senator (12 years in office) and 4 terms as a Representative (8 years in office). I will also boldly fight the two existential threats that our nation currently faces. Radical Muslims and Marxist Communists plan every day to destroy America, and I will never allow that to happen.

Background and qualifications
I have lived for over 15 years in Louisiana's 1st District and been a constituent of the current representative, Steve Scalise, the whole time. I have lived in Mid-City, Lakeview, River Ridge, and finally Metairie, where I bought my home in 2015. I've taught in our state's public and charter schools for almost two decades, organizing alongside our community.

\r\n

As a National Board Certified special education teacher of 17 years, I've navigated IDEA mandates, education budgets, development of IEPs, and disability law firsthand, and my commitment to disability rights was rooted in my upbringing long before it became my profession. I've fought for working people as a member of my union council. My degrees reflect both sides of that work: a B.A. in history and political science grounds me in the structures of government, and a master's in English literature reflects my investment in teaching, literacy, and pedagogy.

\r\n

I have spent years registering voters, explaining what's on the ballot, breaking down legislation, and showing people how to get involved in local and state processes that affect them. I've also spent years in civic organizations improving outcomes for our community: delivering meals to kids and families in need, sending books to incarcerated people, and promoting health through running and walking groups.

\r\n

Main goals
*Disability rights: I'll fight to fully fund IDEA, protect the community integration mandate, and expand home and community-based services, using appropriations to reverse the weakening of care and legislative oversight to protect the Department of Education and Olmstead protections. We need to ensure disabled people can live and learn in their homes, schools, and communities, not institutions, at every stage of life.
*Healthcare access: I support Medicare for All as the horizon as we work to address and roll back the current ACA cuts. We need legislation expanding funding for community health centers, incentivizing doctors to practice in Louisiana amid our doctor shortage, and protecting Medicaid, which many of my neighbors and constituents rely on. I'd also support the Women's Health Protection Act, codifying reproductive bodily autonomy into federal law.
*Coastal and environmental protection: As one of Louisiana's two coastal districts, we're vulnerable to erosion, storms, and corporate exploitation. I'll push appropriations securing federal funding for Louisiana's coastal master plan and proactive measures so we are storm-ready. I would also use oversight and litigation to hold oil and petrochemical companies accountable, and would work to invest in storm surge infrastructure and fight to protect our air, water, soil, and communities long-term.

Background and qualifications
I am a nurse, healthcare executive, wife, mother, and grandmother who has spent more than 25 years solving real-world problems for patients, physicians, employees, and families. I began my career in front line nursing and worked my way into operations and senior leadership. Today, I serve as Senior Director of Surgical Services, overseeing physician practices, clinical operations, budgets, and healthcare teams across multiple hospitals. I have served as President of the West Jefferson Hospital Foundation, supported Children's Hospital New Orleans through years of volunteer leadership and fundraising, served on the City of New Orleans Neighborhood Housing Advisory Committee, and currently serve on the Louisiana State Museum Board.

\r\n

Main goals
My goals are centered on three priorities: making sure Louisiana receives its fair share, making it more affordable to live and work here, and improving access to healthcare that actually works. I want to make government more accountable for how taxpayer dollars are spent and ensure federal resources intended for Louisiana actually reach our communities. I want to address the everyday costs families are struggling with including insurance, housing, groceries, utilities, and taxes by encouraging competition, reducing unnecessary government barriers, and demanding greater fiscal responsibility in Washington. Healthcare will also be a major focus. After more than 25 years working inside the healthcare system, I know firsthand where bureaucracy, administrative costs, and lack of transparency hurt patients and providers. I want patients to know what their care and prescriptions cost, expand competition and choice, reduce unnecessary administrative burdens, and protect meaningful access to care. Above all, I want the people of District 2 to have an accessible and accountable representative whose job is to serve them not a political party or a career in Washington.

Background and qualifications
Alternative energy should have a meaningful place in Louisiana's future. I believe we can support solar, wind, energy efficiency, battery storage, and other emerging technologies while recognizing the important role that oil and natural gas continue to play in Louisiana's economy. My priority would be ensuring that families and businesses have reliable, affordable energy and that Louisiana workers benefit from the changing energy economy.

\r\n

My qualifications come from a combination of education, professional leadership, public service, and firsthand experience understanding what working families face. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science while pursuing a pre-law course of study, and I worked three jobs to support myself and pay off my college debt. That experience taught me the importance of affordable opportunities and economic security.

\r\n

I also worked at a Corpus Christi law firm, where I supervised eight people and learned the importance of accountability, management, communication, and listening. My involvement with the PACT Act gave me experience working on legislation affecting veterans and reinforced my belief that government must deliver meaningful results for the people it serves. I later ran for Mayor in Texas, gaining additional experience in public service and engaging directly with voters.

\r\n

Main goals
My main goals if elected to Congress are to make government work more effectively for the people of Louisiana and address the issues that directly affect families every day. I will work on legislation to make healthcare and housing more affordable, protect Social Security and Medicare, support veterans, strengthen opportunities for children and working families, and address the needs of senior citizens and women. I will also work to address rising taxes and insurance premiums, expand economic opportunities and good-paying jobs, support small businesses, protect Louisiana\\'s environment and coastline, improve disaster response, and connect people experiencing homelessness with meaningful housing and supportive resources. I will fight for responsible government spending and transparency while listening to constituents and working across differences when doing so can produce results. My goal is to bring practical solutions to Washington and ensure that the people of District 3 have a representative who listens, works, and remains accountable to them.

Background and qualifications
I'm an engineer who worked in a paper mill for 11 years, started and ran a small business, and worked in state and federal government in disaster recovery for over 20 years.

\r\n

During that public service, I served three governors, Democratic and Republican, and worked with government officials, nonprofits, and individuals all over the state to help families and communities recover. That work requires a focus on results, not politics, and that's what I'll bring to the job.

\r\n

Main goals
Level the playing field for working families. That means bringing an end to the war, ending the harmful tariffs, and restoring funding for SNAP, healthcare, and education, as well as fighting the rampant corruption that is flooding D.C.

\r\n

Background and qualifications
I'm a Louisiana native, former educator, community advocate, and graduate of Southern University Law Center. I grew up in New Orleans, graduated from Edna Karr High School, and earned my Bachelor's degree in history from the University of Holy Cross before completing my certification in secondary social studies.

\r\n

I taught at Algiers Charter Schools and the New Orleans Military and Maritime Academy, and earned my Juris Doctor in May 2025. During law school, I interned with Voice of the Experienced, reviewing proposed legislation for constitutional compliance and supporting civil rights work for currently and formerly incarcerated people. I also received the Justice John Paul Stevens Public Interest Fellowship.

\r\n

Main goals
My main goal is to make it easier for people to build a good life in Louisiana. Families should be able to afford their homes, get healthcare, and see a future here for their children. I would focus on lowering everyday costs and raising wages. That means supporting a higher federal minimum wage, affordable housing and childcare, lower prescription drug costs, and access to financing for small businesses. Economic investment should produce lasting opportunities for the people who already live here.

\r\n

Healthcare for all is a priority. I would defend Medicaid and Medicare, work to make coverage affordable, and support rural hospitals and community health providers. I would also pursue investments in telehealth and recruitment of healthcare professionals so access does not depend on where someone lives.

\r\n

I would fight for federal investment in roads, bridges, drainage, flood protection, and drinking water systems, along with affordable broadband. Residents deserve to know where that money goes and whether projects deliver what was promised.

\r\n

As a former educator, I would support teachers, early childhood education, apprenticeships, and community college training connected to good-paying jobs. Too many young people feel they have to leave Louisiana to succeed. We need to give them reasons to stay.

\r\n

Protecting our rights and communities would guide that work. I would defend voting rights, due process, and constitutional checks and balances. I would also push for clean air and water, stronger environmental enforcement, and accountability for companies responsible for contamination. Short-term investment cannot excuse lasting harm.

\r\n

I would bring a fair, firm, and consistent approach to each priority: listen to the people affected, explain my decisions, and follow through after the election.

Background and qualifications
I am an economist and traveling medical professional with firsthand experience seeing how our healthcare system affects patients, workers, and families. I earned both my bachelor's degree in economics and my master's degree in financial economics from LSU.

\r\n

I am also 100% self-funded and do not accept campaign donations. I want to enter Congress accountable to the people of Louisiana's 6th District rather than donors, PACs, or special interests.
Congress does not need more people who can simply identify our problems. We need representatives willing to develop solutions, explain how they will work, and be accountable for the results. That is what I intend to bring to the position.

\r\n

Main goals
My main goal is to bring practical, results-driven solutions to Congress. I want to lower healthcare costs, cut taxes for working Americans, reduce wasteful federal spending, address our national debt, secure the border, protect American workers, and make government more transparent and accountable.

\r\n

I have developed specific policy proposals to accomplish these goals rather than simply campaigning on talking points. My healthcare reforms are designed to reduce both healthcare costs and federal spending. My tax reform would simplify the tax code and substantially lower income taxes for working Americans. I also want to eliminate wasteful spending and special-interest tax provisions while ensuring that taxpayer dollars are used responsibly.

Background and qualifications
I am a licensed professional engineer and former utility regulation consultant for both the Louisiana Public Service Commission and the City of New Orleans. It was my job to advise on policies that drove down costs for homeowners and businesses throughout Louisiana. Most commissioners do not have that technical background to be able to write these policies, so they continually rely on the monopoly utility companies (who are funding their campaigns) to sometimes literally write the policies that they pass almost verbatim.

\r\n

This conflict of interest drove me crazy and causes our bills to go up at twice the rate of inflation. I immerse myself in utility regulation because I want my three young kids to afford to live in Louisiana, and not have to pay $1500 a month for their light bill.

\r\n

Main goals
Lower utility costs - there's over $1B/year in excessive charges that we can eliminate or avoid with the right technical person at the commission.

\r\n

Make data centers pay - new large loads should pay 100% of their costs and not shift anything onto us (they say they are doing this, but they're actually not - according to Entergy, there's $3.85B in residual costs for consumers if Meta's expansion goes according to plan).

\r\n

Improve reliability - we do not have standards that hold utilities accountable to fix what we have already paid for before they charge us more money for maintenance and storm damages.

\r\n

Background and qualifications
I have practiced civil law in Baton Rouge for 14 years and handled more than 500 civil matters, including 342 in the 19th Judicial District Court. I have represented both plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation, giving me a firsthand understanding of the concerns and priorities of each side.
My experience includes jury and bench trials, and extensive appellate work, as well as practice in state and federal courts throughout Louisiana.

\r\n

Main goals
My primary goal if elected is to improve the efficiency of the court, particularly by reducing the amount of time civil cases remain pending. Courts should provide litigants with a clear and reasonable path toward resolution. I would take a hands-on approach to moving cases forward through early status conferences, meaningful in-person settlement conferences, prompt resolution of discovery disputes, and, when appropriate, encouraging bench trials to help resolve matters efficiently and fairly.

\r\n

I also believe that effective leadership is reflected in the details. That means showing up on time, being thoroughly prepared, taking an active and engaged role during oral arguments, and responding to correspondence and filings promptly. Simple habits, such as keeping a current docket and clearing my inbox each day, can make a meaningful difference in the court's responsiveness and overall efficiency.

\r\n

Finally, I would work to improve transparency and predictability. Attorneys and members of the public should understand what is expected of them in the courtroom and how the court approaches recurring procedural and legal issues. By communicating those expectations clearly and applying them consistently, the court can help attorneys prepare more effectively, advise their clients more accurately, and ensure that litigants have greater confidence in the judicial process.

Jermaine Guillory

\r\n

Background and qualifications
I am qualified to serve as a criminal court judge because my entire 18-year legal career has been rooted in the local criminal justice system—a journey that began as a 19th JDC criminal court staff attorney. Driven by a deep passion for criminal justice, I went on to serve as a prosecutor for 14 years, handling serious violent crime cases and gaining invaluable, firsthand insight into the realities of our courts. I also developed diversion programs to provide alternatives to prosecution for nonviolent cases, especially for those individuals struggling with mental illness and addiction, demonstrating my commitment to meaningful, rehabilitative solutions.

\r\n

Currently, I serve on the bench as an appointed commissioner, where I make crucial bail decisions, preside over domestic violence bail hearings, and review law enforcement search and arrest warrants.

\r\n

Main goals
If elected as criminal court judge, my main goals are to deliver timely, transparent and effective justice for our community.

\r\n

First, I am committed to decreasing the backlog of cases at the 19th Judicial District Court. Right now, it takes far too long for cases to reach resolution—defendants and victims are forced to wait years for their day in court, and too many people make wasted trips to the courthouse. I will actively manage my docket to move cases forward efficiently and ensure that justice is not delayed.

\r\n

Second, I believe in transparency and accountability. I will publish case data for my court division so that the public can see how cases are being handled and have confidence in the fairness of the process.

\r\n

Finally, I want to enhance access to our court’s specialty programs, such as veterans treatment court, recovery courts and domestic violence intervention courts. These programs provide real help to those suffering from mental health and substance abuse challenges, and I am committed to expanding their reach to better serve our community.

\r\n

Background and qualifications
I am an attorney, educator, and public servant whose commitment to service began long before my candidacy. I earned my undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and my Juris Doctor from Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University.

\r\n

I've spent nearly six years as a Senior Staff Attorney of the 19th Judicial District Court gaining experiences in criminal, civil, and specialty court matters. I founded the Allen Law Firm, LLC in Baker, Louisiana in 2017, focusing on all areas of the law, but more specifically, intellectual property, civil, and criminal law.

\r\n

I serve as an Associate Adjunct Professor of Law at Southern University Law Center, and I am pursuing a doctorate in public policy at Southern University. I have been recognized among the American Bar Association's Top 40 Young Lawyers in America and the Louisiana State Bar Association's Top 40 Young Lawyers. I currently serve as an Assistant District Attorney in East Baton Rouge Parish.

\r\n

Main goals
My main goal is to put Real Justice into practice through a commitment to public safety, fairness, and integrity. Public safety requires that a court takes criminal matters seriously and handles them diligently. Everyone in this community deserves to work, live and raise their families in a safe community. I will evaluate each case carefully, uphold accountability, respect victims' rights, and protect constitutional guarantees. Where authorized and appropriate, I will thoughtfully consider rehabilitation and reentry options that support lawful, productive lives.

\r\n

Fairness requires both impartial decisions and a meaningful opportunity to be heard. I will come prepared, listen patiently, and maintain an even judicial temperament. Everyone who enters my courtroom will be treated with dignity and each decision will be grounded in the facts and the law. I will also prioritize effective docket management. Drawing on my experience helping move a criminal case backlog forward, I will review pending matters, establish clear scheduling expectations, and address avoidable delays while preserving the time necessary for fair proceedings. Victims, defendants, witnesses, and families deserve a court that respects them and their time. Integrity means exercising judicial authority independently, upholding ethical standards and explaining rulings clearly. Simply put, it means doing the right thing at all times regardless of who is watching.

His subsequent legal career includes serving as staff counsel at the 19th JDC, litigating complex fraud cases for the Louisiana Department of Insurance, and championing the rights of at-risk children and families in private practice.

\r\n

Main goals
Top Three Priorities
1. Integrity: Integrity is the vital quality of a judge. Litigants must trust that the individual on the bench will strictly adhere to the law, maintaining the court as a sanctuary for justice.
2. Fairness: A.J. is committed to the duty of being fair under all circumstances. This means balancing the needs of the public versus the needs of the individual, ensuring that status never dictates the outcome of a hearing.
3. Respect for All: Proper judicial temperament requires patience and active listening. Vernon Wesley Thomas, Esq.

\r\n

Background and qualifications
An Army JAG officer and local attorney.
For more than 17 years, I have worked inside and across the justice system. I have served as a prosecutor, public defender, private practice attorney, judicial staff attorney for two district judges, Army JAG officer and military magistrate. I have represented people accused of crimes, prosecuted cases, advised judges, full-bird colonels and two generals, and worked within the military justice system.

\r\n

I also know personally what it means to be affected by violent crime. That experience helped shape my belief that accountability and compassion can exist in the same courtroom.

\r\n

Main goals
My goal is not simply to make decisions from the bench. I want to make a difference from the bench while staying firmly within the proper role of a judge. That starts with what I call the FACE of Justice: Fairness, Accountability, Compassion and Efficiency. Fairness means following the law, protecting due process, and deciding each case on its individual facts. Accountability means holding people responsible while also expecting accountability from the court itself. Compassion means treating victims, defendants, families, attorneys, and everyone who enters the courtroom with dignity. Efficiency means running a disciplined courtroom, reducing avoidable delays, and respecting the time of the people the court serves.

\r\n

I also want to bring greater transparency to court performance. I have developed a framework for a 19th JDC Judicial Report Card that would examine measures such as caseloads, case age, and time to disposition. A court that expects accountability from everyone else should be willing to measure and report its own performance.

\r\n

My Court to Career Cooperative is based on another simple principle: accountability and opportunity can exist at the same time. The concept would bring courts, organized labor, and other partners together to connect eligible participants with existing training, apprenticeship, and employment pathways. Employers would make hiring decisions, and outcomes such as referrals, placements, retention, compliance, and recidivism could be measured.

\r\n

Background and qualifications
I have worked since I was 12, stocking shelves and delivering groceries for a small family store in New Orleans' 7th Ward. In college I interned for free at the East Baton Rouge District Attorney's Office and was hired as an investigator when I graduated. I worked under DAs Ossie Brown and Bryan Bush and alongside some of the best trial prosecutors this parish has had.

\r\n

I earned my law degree from Southern University Law Center while still working part time at the DA's office, married and raising a young child. After law school I spent 16 years as a criminal defense attorney, trying every type of criminal case.

\r\n

I learned this system from the bottom up: as an investigator, at the defense table, and as your District Attorney since 2009. Under my leadership the office built the first Digital Forensics Unit in a Louisiana DA's office, a Crime Strategies Unit, and a Violent Crime Unit that brings every agency working violent cases to the same table. None of that happened by accident. We built it on purpose. I have also served two terms as president of the Louisiana District Attorneys Association.

\r\n

Main goals
The evidence decides, not a slogan. My focus for the next term is the same one I bring to work every morning: hold violent offenders accountable, stand with victims, and run an office this parish can trust.

\r\n

If you commit violence in this parish, you will be held accountable. Our Violent Crime Unit, Crime Strategies Unit, and Crime Gun Intelligence Center work with law enforcement to identify the small number of people driving most of the violence and focus on them. I will keep building those partnerships, including our work with the U.S. Attorney's Office on major gun and drug cases.

\r\n

If you are a first-time, nonviolent offender, you may get one chance through diversion: pre-trial diversion, DWI diversion with MADD, juvenile gun diversion, retail theft diversion, or our Not From This House partnership with 100 Black Men. If you don't take that chance, you will be prosecuted. Diversion also frees our prosecutors to focus on the most serious cases.

\r\n

Every case starts with a family's worst day. Through Stop the Loss, the Family Justice Center, and our victim advocates, families harmed by crime get support from the first call to the final verdict.

\r\n

And you don't have to take my word for it. We built our public Commons dashboard with community members so anyone can look up the outcomes of cases our office handles. We also secured funding to outsource DNA testing and reduce the backlog of cases waiting on results.

Background and qualifications
I am a lifelong resident of Ascension Parish, a product of our public schools, and an educator with more than 14 years of experience serving students and families.

\r\n

I hold a Ph.D. in Science and Mathematics Education, a Master of Public Administration, and a Master of Arts in Teaching. My background combines classroom experience with educational research, leadership, policy, and community engagement. I have served in local, state, national, and international leadership roles focused on strengthening education, expanding opportunities for students, supporting educators, and preparing young people for their futures.

\r\n

Beyond the classroom, I am actively involved in civic and community organizations throughout Ascension Parish.

\r\n

Main goals
My main goal, if elected, is to help maintain the high quality and academic excellence that Ascension Parish is known for while ensuring we reach the students who have not yet achieved their academic goals. Excellence should mean continuing to challenge students who are thriving while identifying barriers, providing effective interventions, and ensuring that every student has the opportunity and support needed to grow and succeed.

\r\n

I also want to strengthen college and workforce readiness by expanding access to STEM, Career and Technical Education, dual enrollment, industry credentials, internships, apprenticeships, and partnerships with local businesses and industries. Students should graduate with multiple pathways available to them, whether they choose college, technical training, military service, entrepreneurship, or direct entry into the workforce.

\r\n

Another major priority is recruiting and retaining outstanding teachers and school employees. I want Ascension Parish to remain competitive in attracting talented professionals, and that includes working toward competitive wages and benefits for teachers and school support staff, along with strong professional support and opportunities for growth. The district itself identifies employee recruitment and retention as a commitment, and currently reports approximately 3,500 employees.

\r\n

Finally, I want to promote safe and positive schools, responsible planning for growth and facilities, fiscal responsibility, and stronger communication with our families and communities.

This allows us to focus on what matters most: teaching and learning, sensible safety policies for campuses and online spaces, school environments that are welcoming, positive, and genuinely supportive, growth pathways and adults who believe in every child.

\r\n

2. HIGH-QUALITY, FUTURE-READY LEARNING: Every student academically engaged, visibly progressing, and supported for what comes next after graduation. Expand access to proven programs, with policy and funding aligned behind them, robust STEM and arts programs alongside the core disciplines, improve and innovate on a working foundation - more without spending more.

\r\n

3. RETAIN AND SUSTAIN OUR EXCELLENT TEACHERS: Great teachers, leaders and staff are the heart of our school system and the key to students' academic growth. Keeping them takes a strong plan, not a slogan. Competitive salaries, ongoing professional development, reliable classroom resources, balanced budgets and responsible stewardship of district funds, real opportunities for educators to shape the decisions that affect them.

\r\n

4. COLLABORATION AND THRIVING RELATIONSHIPS: A board that leads with integrity, shared accountability, and real partnership with families and the community. Student-centered decisions, stewarded transparently, parents and caregivers treated as partners, not an audience, deeper partnerships with businesses, nonprofits, and higher education.

Background and qualifications
I'm a lifelong resident of Assumption Parish; my wife is Wendy Lawless. We have three daughters and seven grandkids. What makes me qualified for this position is that I have experience serving on a governing board for the public, as well as in the work industry. I understand how to effectively represent my constituents and work as a team member. I understand fiscal responsibility and the importance of being a good steward of taxpayers' dollars. I understand the value of teamwork, making responsible decisions, and serving others.

\r\n

Main goals
If elected, I will work diligently alongside the other board members to ensure our school has the resources and support needed to help students succeed. I will support our teachers and staff as they work to promote a positive and conducive learning environment for our students. My desire is to see students graduate, pursue higher education, acquire meaningful careers, and become productive members of society.

\r\n

Background and qualifications
Over the past 10 years, I have helped hundreds of students navigate the path to college. As a first-generation college student, I had to learn that process firsthand, and I have made it my mission to ensure others do not have to figure it out alone.

\r\n

I am proud to be one of the first graduates of the Baton Rouge Community College Leadership Program and to have achieved many firsts in my family. My philanthropic work throughout the region has been recognized by chancellors and administrators at Baton Rouge Community College, Southern University, and LSU.

\r\n

I'm also a lifelong resident of Assumption Parish and understand this community from a resident's point of view.

\r\n

Main goals
My slogan is \"A Voice for Teachers, A Partner for Parents,\" and I mean it. I want to close the gap between the central office and the people it serves - our parents, our students, and our teachers. That means creating real incentives for great teaching and learning, and finding grants so we are not asking our school board to stretch dollars that are not there. My goal is simple: to finally do what has not been done in this parish.

\r\n

Background and qualifications
I bring 33 years of local and federal law enforcement experience to this position, including patrol, criminal investigations, training, supervision, executive leadership, budgeting, policy development and multi-agency operations.

\r\n

I began my law enforcement career with the Baker Police Department in 1991, starting as a reserve police officer, serving as a full-time officer, and finished my career at Baker PD as the Reserve Coordinator for 7 years, where I helped lead approximately 35 reserve officers, many of whom are still serving in local area law enforcement roles. I was named Reserve Police Officer of the Year in 1993 and 2001 and graduated from Louisiana's 123rd POST Academy with the Highest Scholastic Average.

\r\n

In 2004, I entered federal law enforcement as a Special Agent with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, Office of Inspector General. I later became an Assistant Special Agent in Charge, a position I held for approximately 15 years until my retirement from federal service in 2024. My responsibilities included supervising investigative personnel and operations across a multi-state region, managing personnel and resources, developing policy, planning and administering training, strategic planning, disciplinary matters, continuity-of-operations planning, and working with agency leadership and other government partners.

\r\n

Throughout my federal career, I worked, supervised, and managed complex criminal investigations involving healthcare fraud, drug diversion, identity theft, retirement fraud, elder exploitation, public corruption, human trafficking and other federal offenses. I served as an FBI Task Force Officer and worked alongside agencies including the FBI, U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, Department of Defense, U.S. Attorneys' Offices and state and local law enforcement agencies.

\r\n

Training has also been an important part of my career. I served as a federal firearms instructor for approximately 20 years and received additional training in non-lethal training ammunition, advanced marksmanship, and scenario-based instruction. I am a graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center's Criminal Investigator Training Program, where I served as class president, as well as FLETC's Firearms Instructor Training Program.

\r\n

I hold a Bachelor of Criminal Justice from Louisiana State University and have received multiple national awards and recognitions during my career, including Inspector General Awards for Excellence, Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency awards, and National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association Investigation of the Year awards.

\r\n

Main goals
My primary goal is to build a professional, visible and accountable Central Police Department that works in partnership with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office rather than attempting to duplicate the services and resources already available to our community.

\r\n

I support Central's hybrid policing model. Under that model, EBRSO continues providing primary calls for service, investigations, and specialized resources, while Central Police focuses its resources on the areas where a municipal department can provide the greatest benefit: neighborhood patrols, traffic safety, business checks, community policing, special events, school engagement, and direct interaction with our residents. I believe we should collaborate, not compete.

\r\n

Fiscal responsibility will be another priority. Public safety is important, but so is being a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars. Every expenditure should have a clearly defined public-safety purpose and measurable value.

\r\n

I also want to rebuild our Reserve Police Officer program and establish a Police Cadet program that gives young people an opportunity to learn about law enforcement, leadership, and public service. These programs can strengthen community involvement while developing future generations of public servants.

\r\n

Transparency and accountability will be fundamental to how the department operates. I intend to provide monthly public reporting on department activity, spending, and performance so residents and the City Council can see what their police department is doing and how their tax dollars are being used. I will follow that up with a comprehensive annual report. Technology should also be accompanied by clear policies, appropriate safeguards and meaningful oversight.

\r\n

Finally, I want community policing to be more than a slogan. Officers should be visible in neighborhoods, businesses, schools, and community events. The Chief should also be accessible and willing to listen to residents, business owners, other public-safety agencies and city leadership.

\r\n

Background and qualifications
I have been a resident of District 2 for almost 20 years and have proudly served as Constable for District 2 in East Baton Rouge Parish for 7.5 years. I was appointed to the position in 2019 following the departure of the former constable, and I had the privilege of working with and learning from Jimmy Saintangelo, whose example helped prepare me for this responsibility. After running unopposed for my first full term, I continued building strong working relationships with two Justices of the Peace in District 2 and earning the trust of the constituents I serve. I remain committed to staying informed about community events and concerns, listening carefully, and responding with dignity, composure, and sound judgment even when circumstances are challenging.

\r\n

Main goals
If elected Constable of District 2, I pledge to continue serving our community with the same care, integrity and dedication I have consistently demonstrated. I will honor the full responsibilities of the office, faithfully uphold the law, and carry out my duties with professionalism and respect for every resident.

With over four decades in law enforcement, including 27 years with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office, Ron has served in a wide range of roles, including uniform patrol, detectives, burglary, financial crimes, narcotics, warrants, and flotilla/recovery diver.

\r\n

Ron currently serves as a lieutenant with the Constable's Office, District 3, giving him firsthand knowledge and experience with the responsibilities and operations of the office. He holds a degree in criminal justice and has continued specialized training throughout his career. As a former landlord and property manager, Ron also understands the eviction process and the importance of handling these matters fairly, respectfully, and according to the law.

\r\n

Main goals
My main goal is to provide the public with easy, reliable access to the Constable's Office. Serving as Constable will be my only job and my full-time commitment, allowing me to remain available when needed and ensure the responsibilities of the office are handled promptly, professionally, fairly, and respectfully.

\r\n

Background and qualifications
Tucker Sharer is a lifelong resident of District 5. He graduated from Parkview Baptist High School and attended Louisiana State University. While at LSU, Tucker became a reserve Deputy for the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office. During his time as a reserve, he volunteered over 200 hours a month in Uniform Patrol at the Gardere and Kleinpeter Substations. In 2022, Tucker was named the Reserve Deputy of the Year.

\r\n

At the end of 2023, Tucker made the decision to go full-time with the Sheriff's Office, earning his Louisiana POST certificate and joining the Traffic Division. There, he became a certified motorcycle Deputy, a traffic crash reconstruction professional, a traffic homicide investigator, and attained the rank of Corporal.

\r\n

In 2025, Tucker was given the opportunity of a lifetime. He became the Public Safety Coordinator for the City of St. George and the first commissioned reserve officer to serve under Chief Todd Morris. Today, he oversees the City's On-Scene Services Program and its Homeless Initiative, among many other daily responsibilities.

\r\n

Tucker is a proud Christian conservative, a supporter of the NRA, and an active member of both the St. George Rotary Club and the St. George Chamber of Commerce. He credits much of his success to his beautiful fiancee, Hannah, and their K9 kiddo, Archie.

\r\n

Main goals
My first goal is simple: every person my office serves will be treated with dignity. Firmness and fairness aren't opposites. You can carry out the law and still look someone in the eye and treat them like a neighbor, because in District 5, they are.

\r\n

My second goal is reliability. When the Justice of the Peace issues orders, they should be served promptly, correctly, and documented appropriately. Landlords, small businesses, and everyday people filing small claims deserve to know their case won't stall because of the office that's supposed to move the process forward.

\r\n

Third, I want to bring modern professionalism to the office. Throughout my Law Enforcement career, I have learned that good policy, good records, and good training aren't paperwork for paperwork's sake. They protect the public and the officer alike. I'll put the same care into how this office keeps records, handles sensitive information, and accounts for its work, so anyone can see it's being run the right way.

\r\n

Fourth, I'll be a working partner in public safety. I've spent my career on the road as a motorcycle deputy and crash investigator, and I know how much it matters when agencies back each other up. I'll work alongside the Sheriff's Office, local Police Departments, the Courts, and the community. I will be visible as an elected official.

\r\n

And finally, I want to be accessible. You'll have a way to reach me, and you'll get an answer.

Background and qualifications
Born and raised right here in East Baton Rouge Parish, I bring a lifetime of on-the-ground experience in our community. For over 15 years, I have lived in Zachary and served the community in various roles. During that 15-year span, my career within the insurance business has taken me through real-life events, including navigating the great flood of 2016 in Zachary. As President of NAAIA- Louisiana, I hosted the largest National Conference in the organization's history right here in Louisiana, bringing millions of dollars to the state. Through my role as LEAs missionary for Vagabond Missions in Baton Rouge, my job is to engage the youth of this community and help them form their relationship with Christ.

\r\n

My life has led me to serve the city of Zachary through a servant-leadership approach, bringing transparency, building up our big city spirit, while maintain our small town Soul.

\r\n

Main goals
My main goals if elected are to give the people of Zachary fewer reasons to leave. Our children shouldn't have to drive an hour to have a good time. Attracting new and exciting businesses will be one of my top priorities. Strengthening our flood infrastructure and preventing the next disaster is also a top priority. Building & strengthening our community identity is my final goal.

I am a lifelong educator, coach, and community-minded leader with deep roots in Zachary. I am a Zachary High School graduate and began my professional career in education and coaching with a commitment to helping young people and families succeed.

\r\n

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southern University and a master's degree in curriculum and instruction with a focus on educational leadership.

\r\n

Main goals
1. Improve Infrastructure & Quality of Life
I will advocate for responsible investment in roads, drainage, sidewalks, traffic management, and other essential infrastructure so that growth is matched with the services residents need. Zachary's Public Works Department oversees roads, drainage, sidewalks, and storm/flood management.

\r\n

2. Promote Responsible Economic Growth
I want to attract and retain businesses that create jobs, expand the local tax base, support entrepreneurs and strengthen our existing business community while making sure development is thoughtful and consistent with Zachary's long-term vision.

\r\n

3. Keep Zachary's Growth Smart and Sustainable
Growth should be an opportunity, not a burden. I will support development that is properly planned, coordinated with infrastructure capacity, and protects the quality of life that makes Zachary attractive to families and businesses.

\r\n

Background and qualifications
My path to public service was not a traditional one. I graduated from Baton Rouge Magnet High School and attended LSU before moving to New York and earning two degrees with honors from the Fashion Institute of Technology. I went on to work in New York City's corporate fashion industry, an experience that taught me to manage complex projects, solve problems, work under pressure, and pay close attention to details.

\r\n

When my husband, Louie, and I chose Zachary as the place to raise our children, Luke and Evangeline, I became involved in serving our community long before I ever considered running for public office. Over the years, I have volunteered my time with our schools, civic organizations, and community efforts because I believe strong communities are built by people willing to invest in them.

\r\n

I was selected by my fellow Council members to serve as Mayor Pro Tempore, and I currently serve on the Americana YMCA Board while continuing to volunteer in schools and our community. My first term has also given me the experience of making consequential decisions about Zachary's finances, development, land use, infrastructure, and future growth.

\r\n

When the City proposed rolling forward the property-tax millage, I voted against it three times. I carefully reviewed the City's financial position and did not believe collecting additional property taxes from our residents had been sufficiently justified.

\r\n

Main goals
My goal for a second term is to continue pursuing responsible economic development while ensuring that the decisions we make today contribute to the long-term strength of Zachary. During my first term, District 3 has seen millions of dollars in new commercial investment, with additional projects and investment in the pipeline. I want to build on that progress while placing a stronger focus on industrial and employment-based economic development. Residential and commercial growth are important, but a sustainable local economy also needs businesses and industries that create quality, well-paying jobs.

\r\n

For too many of our young people, growing up in Zachary eventually means leaving Zachary to find opportunity elsewhere. I want us to build an economy that gives them another choice.

\r\n

My vision is for Zachary to remain a wonderful place to raise children while becoming the kind of community those children can choose to come home to - to build careers, start businesses, buy homes, and raise families of their own. I also want to continue addressing infrastructure needs, strengthening our commercial corridors, protecting and improving our neighborhoods, and advancing beautification and place-making.

\r\n

Transparency will remain a priority as well. Residents should not have to work their way through government bureaucracy to understand what their elected officials are considering. I have advocated for greater digital access to Council documents and information because people deserve the opportunity to see what we see and understand the decisions being made on their behalf.

Background and qualifications
For 23 years, I have dedicated my career to public service as a professional firefighter, paramedic, educator, state administrator, and national leader. Today, I serve as Executive Director of a national interstate licensure commission representing 37 states.

\r\n

Previously, I served as the Chairman of the National Pediatric Emergency Care Council, a Board of Directors for the National Association of State EMS Officials, and a Governor appointee to the LA Governor's Human Trafficking Prevention Commission. I have extensive experience with government agency grant writing and grant award management in addition to co-authoring multiple research publications related to pediatric emergency care and emergency care protocols. I am the 2022 recipient of the American Academy of Pediatrics (LA Chapter) Sandra C. Adams Award for developing and implementing child-readiness policies for ambulance services and emergency rooms across Louisiana. While some may look at these as achievements, I look at them as well-rounded opportunities to make state- and national level differences in public policy, which qualify me as Zachary's next District 3 Councilwoman. Most importantly, however, I am a wife, mom, and grandmother - and those roles give me the greatest passion for ensuring our community is a safe, clean, and charming place to live.

\r\n

Main goals
My main goals are
1 - work with first responders to ensure emergency response times remain reliable and consistent across the Zachary community, especially with continued growth within and outside of city limits.

Background and qualifications
Prior to opening my law office in Zachary in 2005, I served in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal (CV-59). At the end of my service, I received an Honorable Discharge and returned to Louisiana.

\r\n

I attended Louisiana State University and graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education. I worked as a high school teacher and coach for five years from 1996 to 2001. While teaching, I earned a Master of Education degree in Administration and Supervision from Southern University in 2001. In the fall of 2001, I was admitted to LSU's Paul M. Hebert Law Center, and in 2004, I graduated with both a Bachelor of Civil Law degree and a Juris Doctorate degree.
From 2005 to the present, I have practiced all areas of family, civil, and criminal law in all corners of the state as a partner in the Perkins & Dupre law firm in Zachary. In addition to my private practice, since 2022 I have served my neighbors in Zachary as City Prosecutor, Assistant City Attorney, and Code Enforcement Hearing Officer.

\r\n

I have been married to Stacey Lormand Dupre since 1997, and we moved to Zachary that same year.
We have two daughters, Anna (ZHS Class of 2021) and Amelia (ZHS Class of 2026). We are active parishioners at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. I am a past President of the Rotary Club of Zachary, and a member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, the Zachary Chamber of Commerce, and the Zachary Athletic Foundation (ZAF).

Background and qualifications
As an attorney who has almost exclusively handled family court matters for 23 years, and as a former law clerk for East Baton Rouge Parish Family Court, I am not only knowledgeable of the law, but I also understand what is needed to efficiently run the courtroom and the administrative side of Division C. I was chosen by my peers to serve as President of the Family Law Section of the Baton Rouge Bar Association and as President of the Louisiana Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliatory Courts. I also have taught other attorneys and judges continuing legal education courses on matters from simple divorces and procedures to complex protective order cases that deal with civil and criminal proceedings. I have attended meetings for the Protective Order Registry Steering Committee and the Law Institute's Family Law and Community Property Committee, which has led to me testifying before the State Legislature regarding various bills pertaining to family law generally and East Baton Rouge Parish Family Court in particular.

\r\n

Main goals
I believe that every litigant, witness, and family member should be treated with respect and know that their judge listened to their case before making any decision. My goal is to try to utilize my experience to ensure that everyone is treated fairly while also being mindful of parties' and attorneys' time and financial considerations. Once elected, I would institute programs to make Division C run more efficiently and ensure litigants that their judge is prepared and willing to listen to both sides.

\r\n

Background and qualifications
I am a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge and an attorney with nearly 20 years of courtroom experience, focused primarily on family law. I have experienced Family Court as a judicial clerk, a practicing attorney, and a parent navigating the process myself.

\r\n

I have represented people facing divorce, custody disputes and financial uncertainty in over 25 parishes across South Louisiana. I have deliberately dedicated a significant portion of my practice to representing domestic violence survivors. These cases require preparation, sound judgment and the ability to make difficult decisions when a family's safety and stability are at stake.

\r\n

I am also a father and a co-parent. I understand the responsibilities of raising children and the importance of being present, providing stability and putting a child's needs first. My pro bono work, nonprofit board service and volunteer work have deepened my understanding of the challenges families face and strengthened my commitment to serving this community.

\r\n

Main goals
I will bring accountability, efficiency and compassionate leadership to Family Court. Families deserve a judge who comes prepared, treats people respectfully, and makes timely, well-supported decisions. Unnecessary delays drive up costs, prolong conflict, and leave children living with uncertainty. Moving cases forward will be a priority in my courtroom.

\r\n

I will expect preparation and professionalism in my courtroom, and I will hold myself to those same standards. Everyone who comes before my court will be treated fairly and with respect, regardless of their background or whether they have an attorney. I believe in compassion with accountability: listening carefully to each person's circumstances while applying the law impartially and holding people responsible for their obligations.

\r\n

Protecting children and addressing domestic violence will be central to my work. Requests for protection demand serious attention, careful examination of the evidence, and decisive action when the facts and the law require it. In custody matters, I will keep children's best interests at the center of every decision and support safe, meaningful parental involvement.

\r\n

I believe change starts at the family level. My goal is to lead a courtroom that helps families move toward stability, reduces unnecessary conflict, and contributes to a stronger and safer East Baton Rouge Parish.

Background and qualifications
I am the incumbent Family Court Judge for Division A, bringing 20 years of family-law experience, life experience, and community leadership to the bench. Before becoming Judge, I represented mothers, fathers, grandparents, children, and families through some of life's most difficult challenges.

\r\n

As a wife, mother, and grandmother, family is at the heart of who I am and why I serve.

\r\n

My legal experience, community leadership as a minister and former President of the Gardere Initiative, and judicial service have prepared me to continue leading with fairness, integrity, transparency, and Justice with Compassion, strengthening families while faithfully and impartially applying the law to the facts.

\r\n

Main goals
I will continue working to move cases toward timely resolution, reduce unnecessary delays, promote courtroom efficiency and transparency, and ensure that every person who enters my courtroom is treated with dignity, respect, and fairness.

\r\n

I will remain focused on protecting the best interests of children, protecting victims of domestic violence, strengthening families, providing stability and consistency on the bench, and applying the law fairly and impartially to the facts of each case.

Background and qualifications
I was raised in Baker, graduated from Baker High School, and earned a bachelor's degree in Business Management and Administration. Public service has been part of my life since 2007. I started with the East Baton Rouge Parish School System as a bus monitor, then served as a bus operator, dispatcher, and clerk. Today, I'm an Area Supervisor.

\r\n

Since 2020, I've also served as a Deputy Constable. That experience has given me a firsthand understanding of how the Justice of the Peace court serves people in our community. It has reinforced how much it matters for people to be heard, treated fairly, and given clear information about the process.

\r\n

My work has taught me to stay organized, handle difficult situations calmly, and follow through on my responsibilities. I would bring that experience to the Justice of the Peace office and serve District 4 with fairness, respect, and accountability.

\r\n

Main goals
My main goal is to make the Justice of the Peace court a place where people can get clear information, be heard, and be treated with respect. I want the office to be organized and responsive so people know what to expect and can trust that their concerns will be handled.

\r\n

I will listen to each person who comes before the court and make decisions based on the facts and the law. I'll bring the same commitment to showing up, following through, and serving people that has guided my work throughout my public service career.

Background and qualifications
I bring more than 30 years of experience as a paralegal and licensed notary public, along with 11 years of service in the Louisiana House of Representatives and prior service on the Baton Rouge Metro Council.

\r\n

I have also served in leadership roles in East Baton Rouge Parish, including Chair of the Parish Council on Aging and as a board member of the North Baton Rouge Economic Development District.

Main goals
My primary goal is to provide the residents of District 4 with a Justice of the Peace office that is fair, accessible, professional, and responsive.

\r\n

I want residents to have a place where they can receive clear information, be treated with dignity and respect, and have their matters handled fairly and efficiently. Background and qualifications
I'm a Central native and a 1999 graduate of Central High School. I have a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in leadership. I've stayed here, serving Central locally as a council member for the City of Central.

\r\n

Central Is Home. I'm from Central, raised my family here, and started my career here in Central from the start. My boys attended Central schools, my husband and I have served in local churches, and I was honored to be named Central Middle School's first Teacher of the Year. My grandmother, Despo, who I'm named after, owned LaFonda's for more than 50 years, and my parents managed the restaurant.

\r\n

I've served eight years on the Central City Council and spent four years in school administration. On the council, I've worked directly on roads, drainage, development standards, infrastructure, and public safety. I've worked with our parish and state to secure funding for drainage and road projects. I served on the FLECC committee planning for the future of law enforcement and attended FEMA CERT training courses in community emergency response.

\r\n

Main goals
My three main goals are simple: Protect. Plan. Serve. I want Central to grow without losing what makes it home.

\r\n

Protect. Protect our homes and quality of life by making roads and drainage a priority. Our infrastructure must keep pace with growth, reduce flooding risks, address traffic, and serve Central for the next generation.

\r\n

Plan. Plan for responsible growth with a strong master plan that balances development with preserving green space and the character of our community. Before new development is approved, we should understand its impact on drainage, traffic, infrastructure, and surrounding neighborhoods.

\r\n

Serve. Build a local government that serves its people - one that listens, communicates openly, and keeps residents informed. That includes supporting local businesses, planning proactively for public safety and emergencies, and bringing people together to strengthen our community.

Background and qualifications
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Doctorate in Social Work from Walden University and a Master of Social Work from Southern University at New Orleans. Through my private practice here in Baton Rouge, I work every day with families dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and conflict - the same challenges that follow students into our classrooms and affect their ability to learn.

\r\n

I also teach graduate-level social work at Walden University, preparing the next generation of professionals who will serve our schools and communities. I'm currently a law student at Southern University Law Center, which is sharpening my understanding of policy, budgets, and governance - the core work of a school board member.

\r\n

For the past three years, I've mentored through the Big Buddy Program, and I've developed the CALM Program (Cultivating Awareness, Life Skills & Mindfulness) to bring social-emotional learning tools into K-12 schools. I've also been honored with the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for community service.

\r\n

Main goals
My campaign is built on a simple idea: build on what works, and grow what's next. If elected, I'll focus on four priorities.

\r\n

1. Student mental health and well-being. As a clinical social worker, I see every day how anxiety, trauma, and stress at home show up in the classroom. A child who doesn't feel safe or supported can't learn. I'll push to strengthen school counseling and social work services, expand social-emotional learning, and build partnerships with community providers so students and families can get help early, before a struggle becomes a crisis.

\r\n

2. Supporting and keeping great teachers. Our teachers are carrying more than ever. I want to listen to them, reduce the burdens that pull them away from teaching, and advocate for the resources, training, and respect that keep strong educators in our classrooms instead of leaving the profession.

\r\n

3. Stronger partnerships with families and the community. Parents should never feel shut out of their child's education. I'll work to make the district more accessible and responsive, with clear communication and real opportunities for families, faith communities, businesses, and nonprofits in District 1 to invest in our schools.

\r\n

4. Accountability and responsible stewardship. Every dollar should be tied to results for students. I'll bring careful attention to budgets and policy, ask hard questions, and make sure decisions are transparent to the taxpayers and families we serve.

\r\n

Background and qualifications
I have spent the last 15 years serving children and families in Baton Rouge, beginning in the classroom and growing through roles as a teacher, director, regional director, and now a business owner.

\r\n

While much of my professional experience has been rooted in early childhood, I see that as an asset - not the entirety of what I bring to the table. Education does not begin in kindergarten, nor does our responsibility to students end at graduation. The School Board's work requires looking at the full continuum: whether children enter school with strong foundations, how we support students and educators throughout K-12, and whether students leave us prepared for college, a trade, the military, the workforce or entrepreneurship.

\r\n

I also bring the perspective of a parent, an educator, and a business owner. I understand what policies look like on paper, but I have also spent my career seeing how those decisions actually translate in classrooms, for employees and for families.

\r\n

I can bring the experience I have gained over the last 15 years without bringing an agenda with it. I understand what hat I would be wearing as a School Board member: serving the entire district and helping make thoughtful decisions centered on what gives every child the strongest opportunity to succeed.

\r\n

Main goals
My main goal is simple: keep children at the heart of every decision we make and make sure families have a meaningful voice in the process.

\r\n

I want to strengthen accountability and transparency - not just in how taxpayer dollars are spent, but in whether the decisions we make are actually producing better outcomes for students. That means setting clear expectations, looking honestly at the data, asking the right questions, and making sure resources are reaching classrooms where they can have the greatest impact.

\r\n

I also want us to support and retain great educators while building strong foundations for students from the very beginning. And as students grow, success should not be defined by one path. Whether a student chooses college, a trade, the military, the workforce, or entrepreneurship, our schools should help prepare them to leave us with the skills, confidence, and opportunities to succeed.

\r\n

Most importantly, I want families to feel that their voices matter and that decisions are being made with them, not simply for them. We will not always agree, but parents and community members should understand how and why decisions are made and be able to see measurable progress from them.

Background and qualifications
I bring approximately 14 years of experience in education, along with the perspective of a parent, business owner, community advocate, and public servant. I am also a product of the City of Baker School District and a Baker High School alumna, so my connection to this district is both professional and personal.

\r\n

I hold a Master of Public Administration and an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I currently serve as PTO President at Baker High School and as a Commissioner on the Baker Main Street Economic Development District Board. Through my PTO leadership, I am already helping build business partnerships, secure resources, and create additional support for our schools and students. Those relationships did not begin with my campaign. They are already established, and serving on the School Board would allow me to broaden that work and help create stronger partnerships across the district.

\r\n

Main goals
My main goal is to help strengthen a school system that can effectively serve every child from early learning through graduation, and beyond. I believe the City of Baker Schools are at a critical point where leadership must be present, engaged, focused and committed to building a stronger foundation for the future. This moment also calls for fresh, creative, and forward-thinking leadership that learns from past challenges while continuing to build on the progress now underway.

\r\n

Over time, some families have chosen educational options outside of Baker because they believed another setting could better meet their child's needs. If we want students to come home to Baker, we have to give families something worth coming home to. That means honestly examining where gaps exist and making sure our district is equipped to serve a wide range of student needs.

\r\n

Academically, I want to strengthen early learning, literacy, and mathematics, improve intervention for students who need additional support, and ensure students receiving special education services or accommodations are receiving those supports effectively and that their progress is being monitored.

\r\n

I would also like to see us begin working toward a stronger, more comprehensive center or program for students with autism, while ensuring students with dyslexia and other learning disabilities have access to the specialized resources, interventions and trained support they need to succeed. Families should not feel that they have to leave Baker simply to find the services their child needs.

\r\n

At the same time, I want to expand opportunities for gifted, talented and high-achieving students through stronger magnet programming, advanced coursework, academic competitions and specialized learning opportunities. I never want our district to become a glass ceiling for any student. Whether a child needs intervention, accommodations or greater academic challenge, our responsibility should be to help that student continue moving forward. Learning should also extend beyond the classroom. I would like students to have more hands-on experiences in areas such as agriculture, science, technology, the arts and career exploration, along with field experiences that connect classroom learning to the real world.

\r\n

Supporting teachers and staff is also important. I want us to examine classroom supply support or stipends, reliable district technology, protected planning and lunch periods, and stronger classroom staffing support, particularly in the foundational grades. Creating a supportive working environment is an important part of retaining strong educators.

\r\n

Finally, I want to expand pathways beyond high school through dual enrollment, certifications, internships, mentorships, skilled trades, entrepreneurship and partnerships with universities, healthcare organizations, engineering fields, businesses and other employers.

Background and qualifications
I am a husband, father, business owner, and former substitute teacher with a personal investment in the success of Central's schools. My wife, Courtney, and I have four children who have attended Central Schools. My service on the Central Chamber Board has also strengthened my connections with local businesses and community leaders.

\r\n

Main goals
My main goal is to build on Central's strengths while preparing every student for a successful future. I will support strong academic instruction and expand opportunities for college preparation, dual enrollment, skilled trades, technology, and entrepreneurship so students graduate with meaningful options.

Background and qualifications
I retired from the Zachary Community School System in 2019. Having served my entire career in the schools of Zachary, I believe I have a perspective that would not be common among many school board members. During my career, I served the Zachary Community as a special education teacher, a third grade-teacher, a principal, and a district supervisor. I also have four children who graduated from Zachary Schools. I have worked with countless students and their families through the years. During my tenure with Zachary Schools, I was privileged to work with an incredible group of educators and support staff. I can now see that it was the partnerships with parents, staff, and students that shaped my life. I think that's why what you gain through the years is called experience, not just information. I believe the experience I've gained can be an asset to our school system and community.

\r\n

Main goals
We all have a part to play in moving our district forward. My goals are simple. I would like to do my part by helping guide our policies and working with our superintendent. I hope to do this in a manner that focuses on continued growth for our students and our community.

Background and qualifications
I am a lifelong resident of Zachary, Louisiana, and a proud graduate of Zachary High School, Class of 1988. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southern University, an Executive MBA from Texas Southern University, and a Ph.D. in Public Policy from Southern University. Professionally, I serve as Executive Director of the Southern University Board of Supervisors and as an adjunct professor.

\r\n

As the incumbent District 1 representative on the Zachary Community School Board, I bring firsthand experience in school board governance, policy decisions, and the responsibility of serving students, parents, teachers, and the broader community.

\r\n

Main goals
My primary goals are to promote academic excellence, strengthen support for teachers, increase community engagement, and ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed.

\r\n

I want to continue working toward improved student achievement by supporting policies and initiatives that strengthen academic performance, prepare students for college and careers, and address the diverse needs of our learners.

\r\n

I believe our teachers are one of our greatest assets. I will continue advocating for the resources, professional support, and positive working environments they need to be effective in the classroom and successful in their profession.

\r\n

Another priority is fostering stronger relationships among the school board, parents, educators, administrators, and the community. Open communication, transparency, and collaboration are essential to building trust and making decisions that serve the best interests of our students.

\r\n

Finally, I want to ensure that every student has access to meaningful opportunities, regardless of their background, abilities, or future aspirations. This includes supporting academic programs, extracurricular activities, and resources that help students reach their full potential.

Background and qualifications
I am a lifelong educator and the current East Baton Rouge Parish School Board member representing District 3. I began my career in education in 2004 and have served students and families as a classroom teacher, school leader, education advocate, and now an elected policymaker. I hold a bachelor's degree in Social Studies Education and a master's degree in Administration and Supervision from Southern University and A&M College. Since being elected in 2022, I have served as School Board Vice President, President, and Immediate Past President.

\r\n

Main goals
My goal for a second term is to build on our progress while making sure families can see and feel the results in every District 3 school.

\r\n

My priorities include improving literacy from early childhood through adulthood; maintaining safe, orderly schools; recruiting and retaining excellent educators; expanding PTOs and meaningful family engagement; and ensuring students graduate prepared for college, careers and life.

\r\n

I also want to strengthen the complete high school experience. That includes intentional freshman seminars that teach study skills, organization, school history and school pride; senior life-skills opportunities that prepare students for adulthood; financial literacy; expanded career and internship opportunities; and stronger support for athletics and extracurricular programs, including partnerships that help provide hot pregame meals for student athletes, band members, cheerleaders and dancers.

\r\n

I will continue advocating for stronger community-school partnerships, preservation of the history and identity of our schools, Veterans Voices and civic-learning opportunities, expanded literacy initiatives, and greater access to resources for families.

\r\n

My second term will be about turning progress into sustainable systems that continue serving District 3 long after any one board member is gone.

\r\n

Background and qualifications
I'm Rebecca Fletcher, 41, a wife, a mom of four boys, and a Zachary resident of nearly 15 years. My husband, Jonathan, grew up here, attended Zachary schools, and returned to teach and coach at Zachary High School. All four of our sons attend Zachary schools today, and our family coaches soccer and cross country at Copper Mill.

\r\n

My career has been about people and the teams they build. I've worked alongside leaders to see what their teams were missing and how to strengthen them for the long run. That meant not just filling a role but growing the kind of depth that keeps a team strong. I've helped people prepare for big moments so they could show up as their best selves. And I've learned that how people are treated matters as much as the outcome: even when the answer isn't what someone hoped for, they should walk away feeling respected and heard.

\r\n

Today, I help leaders and teams build everyday habits where people feel safe to speak up and are invested in their work, because that's where strong results come from. A school board works best when its members can listen, ask the right questions, and build trust. This is what I'll bring to every decision.

\r\n

Main goals
My goals center on three priorities: students, teachers, and sustainable growth.

\r\n

For students, I want every child to have both the room and the challenge to discover what they're capable of. That means growing into young people of strong character who thrive in the classroom, with their friends, and within themselves.

\r\n

For teachers, I want Zachary to be a place where educators feel safe, supported, and heard, and where they can grow and build lasting careers.

\r\n

For growth, I want our schools to keep pace as Zachary grows. That means planning hand in hand with families, residents, and neighboring government councils rather than reacting after the fact.

\r\n

How I'll get there is simple: Listen. Ask. Build. I'll listen to understand what's happening in our classrooms and homes. I'll ask the questions that lead to real answers instead of quick fixes. Then I'll build solutions alongside the people they affect. I'm running with no party affiliation because school board service should be just that: service.

\r\n

Now my wife and I live and work in Zachary, raising our three children, Miles, Owen, and Stella, who all go to Zachary schools. I finished my studies with a Master of Physical Therapy in 2004 and continued my education, receiving my Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2008. My wife and I currently work as Physical Therapists in Zachary. I have coached youth soccer and baseball and have participated in numerous teams, organizations, and events. We are active in our children's schools and their activities, our church, and with a variety of community groups.

\r\n

Main goals
I seek to focus on the retention and recruitment of the best teachers and school leaders. We need to appreciate how difficult the work of teaching and leading in schools is, and we need to highly value those who do it well.

\r\n

At the heart of each child succeeding in school is their presence in school. I seek to provide the programming and the attention to every child that will keep each of them attending school with motivation and enthusiasm. I want every child to find an educational home in our system that provides them with opportunities for the personal growth that leads them to productive and happy lives.

\r\n

I want to work with their parents and guardians and have them understand that we have the common goal of their children's success. We have among us in our children artists and athletes, engineers and farmers, builders and business people. We need every one of them, and they each need an education that builds their skills and feeds their interests.

\r\n

To accomplish these goals and meet the needs of our school system, I plan to show up. I will participate in learning and leading. I will be present in our schools. I will listen and be a good and careful steward of our resources. I will seek the support we need from government and businesses.

I am also the parent of two children who attended Baker High School, so my commitment to public education in Baker is both professional and personal.

\r\n

In addition to my experience as an educator, I served two consecutive terms, eight years, as the District 5 representative on the Baker City Council. That experience strengthened my understanding of public governance, budgeting, financial oversight, accountability, transparency, and the responsibility that comes with making decisions on behalf of the people you serve.

\r\n

My service has continued through community and nonprofit leadership, including my role as President of the Future Seed Board of Directors and service with other boards, commissions, and community organizations.

\r\n

Main goals
If elected to the City of Baker School Board, my goals will center on student success and building a stronger school system for every student.

\r\n

I will work to raise academic achievement, support the recruitment and retention of exceptional teachers and staff, strengthen student well-being and access to support services, and help maintain safe, welcoming, and nurturing schools where students can thrive.

\r\n

I also want to strengthen communication between our schools, families, and the broader Baker community. Parents and community members should be informed, engaged, and confident that their voices are being heard.

As a former City Council member, I understand the importance of fiscal responsibility and public accountability. I will support transparency, careful stewardship of taxpayer dollars, and thoughtful long-term planning that positions our school system for a stronger future.

I have served on the EBRP school board since January 2023, as well as serving as their appointee to the BREC Commission from 2023-2025. The past 3+ years have been spent advocating for Common Sense policies that serve children and families first. I have accomplished many of the goals I sought to achieve in my first term - including updating our Strategic Plan, increasing oversight and transparency into our public finances, lowering overhead and central office spending to direct more dollars into classrooms, reducing the number of D & F rated schools where students attend, raising teacher pay, and increasing literacy rates. I have held my ground on difficult issues and proven that I will show up and govern even in the most challenging circumstances.

\r\n

Main goals
EBR Schools have achieved our strongest post-pandemic LEAP results in 2026. Students improved across every tested subject area, with gains in Grades 3-8 that outpaced the state average. We\\'re making measurable progress, but there is still more work to do to ensure every child receives a high-quality education. District 6 families and every child in East Baton Rouge Parish deserve schools that work.

I graduated cum laude from Texas A& M-Kingsville with a degree in Industrial Management Applied Engineering and a minor in business management during COVID. I have been an EMT in Seattle and El Paso, Texas and deployed for over 2 weeks during Hurricane Harvey. I have moved more times than the average person and lived more experiences than most. I am most recently an entrepreneur and own my own business with a dedicated fan base. And most proudly, I am a mother of 2 exceptional children currently enrolled in EBRPSS in our district neighborhood school.

\r\n

I come from a long line of educators in my family; my mother was a PE teacher and high school special Ed coordinator. My aunts and uncle were teachers in high school, and my grandparents were also teachers and athletic coaches.

\r\n

Main goals
I want to reduce the homework load. No one should have to do extra work at home. Exceptions would be to finish class work that wasn't completed that day.

\r\n

Uniform policy: it does not serve to \"equalize\" the children. It dresses them for a \"job\" that they don't get paid for but is mandatory that they show up to and perform well at. It's also shown to stifle creativity and individualism. It's an added cost and burden to families already struggling in this economy. They require extra washing or extra sets bought so there's enough to last the week. It's a waste.

\r\n

Bus driver shortage: prioritize staggered start times to benefit routes and avoid traffic congestion as best as possible. Show our drivers how much they mean to us. Also, some drop-off points are very unsafe. Drops should be closer to intersections and not uncontrolled medians.

\r\n

I want to readdress the relationship with charter schools and why they need tax money but don't have to adhere to school policy if they're offering a comparable education. What are children leaving charter schools prepared for life that is different or similar to public education? Should public education adopt a more relaxed attitude like charter schools?

My community involvement has also included mentoring young entrepreneurs and coaching youth soccer and basketball.

\r\n

Main goals
My main goal is to make sure every child has access to an excellent public school and graduates prepared for what comes next. I would focus on four priorities:

\r\n

First, getting children reading on grade level by third grade. That means supporting teachers and making sure students who are struggling receive help early.

\r\n

Second, keeping and supporting great teachers. Competitive pay matters, along with a work environment that gives educators the time, resources, and support to teach effectively.

\r\n

Third, expanding pathways to college and careers. My experience working with employers and education partners would help me build connections that give students access to industry credentials, apprenticeships, and meaningful opportunities after graduation.

\r\n

Fourth, earning public trust through transparent decisions and responsible oversight. Families should be able to understand how schools are performing, where money is going, and whether our investments are improving student outcomes.

\r\n

Background and qualifications
I am a lifelong resident of East Baton Rouge Parish who has dedicated my career to serving families and strengthening my community. I attended local schools, including Chapel Trafton (now The Dunham School) and Sacred Heart, before graduating from Baton Rouge Magnet High School. I earned my degree from Louisiana State University and later pursued theological studies at Reformed Theological Seminary. Raised at First Presbyterian Church, I began my professional career there, grounding my work in faith and service.

\r\n

In March 2024, I was elected to the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board in a special election. Since taking office, I have focused on understanding the system and delivering measurable results for students and families. Under my leadership, the district strengthened campus security by implementing a more rigorous check-in process that screens all adult visitors through a sex offender database. Also, under my leadership, the board hosted a summer book drive helping to stock up the school libraries with books. I continue to champion transparency and accessibility, working to make the school system easier for families to understand and navigate - especially those who need additional support.

\r\n

I have served on the Policy and Procedure Handbook Committee, where I worked to ensure policies are clear, practical, and easy for families and staff to understand. I have also served on the iCare Advisory Board, contributing to initiatives that support student well-being and school culture, focusing on the suicide prevention campaign and Sunshine Day.

\r\n

For more than 17 years, I have been an active member of Grace Life Fellowship, where I have served as Youth Director and now as Family Ministries Director. My heart is for families to flourish and for children to be well supported and cared for.

\r\n

Main goals
I'm running for school board again because our schools deserve steady, experienced leadership and a clear commitment to putting students first. I believe we can continue moving forward together by maintaining strong academic standards, creating supportive learning environments, and building meaningful partnerships between our schools, families, and community.

\r\n

I believe parents should have a strong voice in their children's education. I support parental rights and school choice, and I believe families should be respected, informed, and empowered to make the decisions that are best for their children.

\r\n

Background and qualifications
I have worked in education for more than 20 years as a teacher, education leader, and educational researcher, including approximately 10 years working in Zachary Community Schools. I currently serve as the District 8 School Board member and am also the parent of three children who attend schools in the district.

\r\n

During my first term, I have worked to bring more voices into the decision-making process, create opportunities for students and families to engage directly with the work of the Board, connect the district with resources and opportunities, and bring data and research into conversations about student outcomes and Board decisions. I am committed to asking thoughtful, sometimes challenging questions and seeking the information necessary to make informed decisions.

\r\n

I have continued developing my capacity to serve through ongoing professional learning, earning Certified School Board Member recognition with the Louisiana School Boards Association for three consecutive years and being selected for the School Board Partners national fellowship. My experience and advocacy have also extended beyond the district to the state and national levels, strengthening the perspective and relationships I bring back to my work in Zachary.

\r\n

Main goals
My overarching goal is to continue strengthening our schools as democratic institutions where students, parents, educators, staff, and community members have meaningful opportunities to participate in the conversations and decisions that affect them. That means (1) continuing our quarterly community forums, (2) advocating for student, parent, teacher, staff, and community voices, and (3) keeping people informed so they can be active participants in our school system.

\r\n

I also remain committed to the work I began around five key areas: academic achievement, discipline, representation in curriculum, representation in leadership, and equitable access to student opportunities. That work continues.

\r\n

In a second term, I also want to deepen our focus on transparency and accountability. This means asking thoughtful questions, making evidence-based decisions, making information accessible to the community, and ensuring that the Board remains accountable for the decisions we make on behalf of students, families, educators, and the broader Zachary community.

Background and qualifications
I believe my experience as a licensed clinical social worker, community leader, and administrator has prepared me well to serve on the school board. In addition, my husband has served on the Zachary School Board for the past 22 years, giving me a unique firsthand understanding of the responsibilities and commitment involved in school board service. As a parent and longtime member of the Zachary community, I care deeply about our schools and want to continue serving our students and community.

\r\n

Main goals
My main goal is to help preserve and strengthen the excellence of Zachary Community Schools while keeping students at the center of every decision. I want to listen to educators, parents, students, and our community; support our teachers and staff; promote fiscal responsibility and accountability; and ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed. I also want to maintain the strong partnership between our schools and the Zachary community while planning thoughtfully for the future.

I am a 2001 graduate of Clinton High School, and East Feliciana Parish is my home.

\r\n

I hold a Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) and a Professional Mastery Credential in Educational Leadership. I am a current CTE Business Teacher and Academic Dean, and I have also served as an educator in East Feliciana Parish.

\r\n

Beyond education, I am an entrepreneur, which has strengthened my experience with leadership, planning, budgeting, problem-solving, accountability, and resource management.

\r\n

I currently serve as Chairman of the East Feliciana Drug and Alcohol Awareness Council and Secretary of the East Feliciana Planning and Zoning Committee. I also serve as Academic Dean of the School of Ministry at Refuge Ministries, Inc.

\r\n

Main goals
1. RETENTION - Keep Great Educators in East Feliciana
I want to help create an environment where teachers and staff feel respected, supported, recognized, and valued. That means listening to educators, strengthening onboarding and mentorship, supporting professional growth, and identifying practical ways to improve employee retention.

\r\n

2. REFORM - Improve What Isn't Working
I believe we must be willing to evaluate our policies, practices, and systems honestly. Reform should be intentional and focused on improving student outcomes, strengthening schools, and making sure decisions are driven by what is best for students and educators.

\r\n

3. RESOURCES - Put Resources Where They Matter
Students and teachers need access to the tools, technology, instructional materials, and support necessary for success. I will advocate for responsible stewardship of public resources and greater transparency about how resources are prioritized.

\r\n

4. STUDENT SUCCESS - Prepare Students for Their Future
Every student deserves opportunities to succeed academically and prepare for life after graduation. I want to support strong academics, career and technical education, workforce development, entrepreneurship, extracurricular opportunities, and pathways that prepare students for college, careers, and life.

\r\n

5. LISTEN - Give Our Community a Voice
Effective leadership requires listening. I want teachers, students, parents, staff, and community members to have meaningful opportunities to share concerns, ideas, and solutions.

\r\n

6. ACCOUNTABILITY - Focus on Results
I believe we should set clear goals, measure progress, communicate openly, and take responsibility for improving outcomes. Our community deserves leadership that is transparent, informed, and focused on results.

Background and qualifications
I've had the privilege of founding two all-boys charter schools in New Orleans, providing young men with educational opportunities designed to foster academic success, leadership, and personal growth.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business, a Master of Education, and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership. I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Education degree, where my research and professional development continue to strengthen my ability to serve students, families, and communities.

\r\n

My roots in Iberville Parish run deep. My mother is Lois Franklin, and I have numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who have lived, worked, and worshiped throughout the parish. Iberville Parish is more than a place where I seek to serve, it is home.

\r\n

Main goals
Transparency and Accountability: Make school board decisions, spending, policies, and priorities easier for families and the public to understand, while holding leadership accountable for results.

\r\n

Student Achievement and Opportunity: Focus on improving academic outcomes while making sure every child has access to programs and resources that support their success.

\r\n

Background and qualifications
As a native of Plaquemine and an educator with 9 years of teaching experience in Iberville and West Baton Rouge Parishes, I understand our schools from the inside out. I've taught grades 6-12, advocated for students and families, collaborated with teachers and administrators, and witnessed firsthand the challenges and opportunities within our education system.

\r\n

Having studied Psychology at Xavier University of LA and Biology at Southern University and A&M College, I bring both academic preparation and real-world educational experience to the table.

\r\n

Main goals
Three major issues I'd like to address are student achievement, teacher recruitment and retention, and meaningful family and community engagement.

\r\n

First, student achievement. As an educator, I know that we cannot simply look at a test score and say a child is failing. We have to ask why and then provide the support necessary to change the outcome. I would advocate for early identification of academic gaps, targeted tutoring and intervention, strong literacy and math support, expanded enrichment opportunities, and greater access to career and technical education, dual enrollment, certifications, and college-preparatory programs.

\r\n

I also believe we must use our data responsibly. Louisiana has seen continued academic growth, including a record statewide Mastery+ rate in 2026, but that progress does not mean every student or every school has reached the same level of success.

\r\n

Second, teacher recruitment and retention. Students cannot receive consistent, high-quality instruction when schools are constantly losing experienced educators. I would support efforts to make our schools places where effective teachers want to stay through competitive compensation, meaningful professional development, mentorship for newer teachers, opportunities for teacher leadership, and reducing unnecessary administrative burdens.

\r\n

As a teacher myself, I understand that teachers need to feel heard, respected, supported, and included in decisions that directly affect their classrooms.

\r\n

Third, family and community engagement. Education cannot stop at the schoolhouse door. I want to see stronger relationships between schools, parents, businesses, churches, civic organizations, and community leaders. We should create more opportunities for families to understand their child's academic progress, know what resources are available, and have a voice in the direction of their schools.

Background and qualifications
I previously served on the Denham Springs Planning and Zoning Commission, which gave me firsthand experience with development, zoning, floodplain concerns, and the decisions that shape the future of our city. My background also includes several years in the fire service, where I earned Firefighter, Fire Officer, and Fire Instructor certifications.

\r\n

Professionally, I have worked my way from an entry-level monitoring position into operations leadership and now work in the technology and public safety industry. Most importantly, I have spent this campaign walking neighborhoods and listening directly to residents.

\r\n

Main goals

\r\n

My main priority is to bring the city into alignment with the Louisiana Constitution by implementing a Master Plan. Additionally, I want to show the world that if we got back to having in-person conversations, we would realize we aren't all that different.

\r\n

Background and qualifications
I am a Louisiana Statewide Notary and have been a business owner for more than 30 years.
As an environmental consultant and state-licensed residential and commercial contractor, my professional experience has required me to work with contracts, regulatory requirements, legal and civil matters, and the practical issues that businesses and residents face.

\r\n

Main goals
My goal is to help bring successful grant funding and additional resources into our community that can benefit Killian and its residents without relying solely on our limited commercial tax base.

\r\n

I also want the Justice of the Peace office to be a visible and useful resource for our residents. I plan to provide quarterly educational meetings and pro bono services on topics that can help residents better understand available services, address everyday issues, and make life a little easier locally.

\r\n

I plan to attend community events and monthly Town meetings, so residents have regular opportunities to see me, ask questions about Justice of the Peace services, and discuss other matters where my experience or resources may be helpful.

\r\n

As an advocate for two-parent households and stronger families, I will provide free marriage ceremonies to Killian residents, day or night, as part of my commitment to making this service readily available to our community.

\r\n

I plan to provide a website and convenient ways to communicate with the office, making it easier for residents to obtain information, understand available services, ask questions, and contact me with concerns.

\r\n

Background and qualifications
I am the owner of Cavalier House Books, an independent bookstore my wife and I built from scratch in downtown Denham Springs. For years I have met payroll, managed a budget, hired and developed employees, and made decisions with real consequences - the same skills city government demands and rarely gets.

\r\n

I am a small business owner who lives and works in this community every day. I know what it costs to operate here, I know the challenges our business community faces, and I know what it looks like when a city either invests in itself or doesn't. That firsthand experience is what I'm bringing to the mayor's office.

\r\n

Main goals
My top priority is giving Denham Springs a master plan. A real, community-driven vision for what we want this city to look like in 10, 20, and 30 years. Right now we are making decisions without a vision. A master plan gives us a framework so that growth happens on our terms, not by accident.

\r\n

My second priority is fighting for local small businesses. Every dollar spent at a locally owned business stays in our community longer, employs our neighbors, and builds the kind of city we actually want to live in. I want city leadership that actively promotes local businesses, makes decisions with their survival in mind, and understands that a thriving local economy is the foundation of everything else we want for this city.

Background and qualifications
My professional career has centered on serving people, strengthening communities, and connecting residents with resources. As a leader with more than 10 years of experience in management, community partnerships, volunteer coordination, and program development and through my current work serving residents in rural Louisiana. I bring practical experience that I would apply to the responsibilities of serving Fordoche.

I am a third-generation Fordoche native. I moved back home in 2018 to donate a kidney to my Mom and help with our family farm. Coming back, I see so much potential for our small community, and I want to be a part of the change. More specifically, work with the Mayor and Town Council to pursue federal, state, and parish funding for priority projects and community improvements; create more activities, programs, and opportunities for seniors and young people in our community; work to make sure that every home has access to reliable broadband and high-speed internet; and work to bring basic services right here in Fordoche.

\r\n

\r\n

Main goals
As I seek re-election, my focus is on four main goals:
1. Jobs: Support economic development, attract new businesses, and expand opportunities for local employment.
2. A Cleaner, Safer Community: Continue addressing blight, improving city services, maintaining infrastructure, and promoting public safety.
3. Housing Opportunities: Encourage quality, affordable housing and residential development for families, seniors, and future residents.
4. Youth Development: Invest in programs, partnerships, and opportunities that help our young people learn, grow, and succeed.

My connection with our schools goes deep. Our children were educated in the St. Mary Parish public school system. In addition, I spent 22 years working for the St. Mary Parish school system as a maintenance foreman electrician.

\r\n

Main goals
After 22 years working within the St. Mary Parish school system, I have firsthand experience with the challenges facing our schools, employees, parents, students, and taxpayers. I believe our school system should be guided by financial discipline, quality education, accountability, and transparency.

\r\n

As a small business owner, I understand the importance of creating a budget, maintaining it, and making responsible decisions with the resources available. I want to see our tax dollars spent wisely, responsibly, and within the school system's budget.

\r\n

I will listen to your concerns, your ideas, and your needs. If elected, I will take those concerns seriously and use them to guide my decisions and my votes as a school board member.

Background and qualifications
I have been a resident of Independence for 50 years and have devoted 46 years to serving as a public school teacher and administrator. Through those years, I have developed a genuine love for the people of Independence - this is my home, and these are my people. My background in education, along with my desire to listen, help, and serve others, has given me the experience and commitment I believe are important to continue serving our town as Alderwoman.

\r\n

Main goals
My main goals are to encourage responsible community growth and investment while preserving the small-town character that makes Independence special. I want to encourage greater community involvement, support our local police and fire departments, maintain safe neighborhoods, and create more opportunities and positive activities for our young people. Most importantly, I want to listen to our residents, work together to address our community's needs, and help make Independence a place where families want to live, work, and raise their children.

Background and qualifications
I surveyed land with my father from 1969, when he became licensed, until his passing in 2004. I later became a resident project inspector for the City of New Orleans for streets and roadways. In August 2017, I took my oath and became a deputy marshal for the 7th Ward Marshal's office. I delivered various papers for Hammond City Court and provided security in the courtroom on juvenile, civil, and criminal Court days.

\r\n

Main goals
Our children are my top priority, and I will advocate for them. I will be actively involved and a familiar face in all 15 schools of the seventh ward. Secondly, the current and previous Marshal, have been complacent over the past 51 years in being a Monday through Friday 8:00 to 4:00 operation only. After taking office in January, I'm going to establish a marshal substation in Ponchatoula with a traffic division patrolling our roadways and a Marine division patrolling our waterways, and we will be 24/7.

Background and qualifications
I have lived in and around Hammond my entire life, and I'm well familiar with our strengths and weaknesses. I both live and work in District 2, which keeps me well abreast of the needs of the District. Over the past decade, I have worked in professional consulting with government at all levels, from local to the Federal level.

\r\n

Main goals
I intend to focus on proactive crime prevention to create a safe place for families and businesses to grow. Perception is reality, and if we don't promote and foster a safe community, our city will never be able to truly prosper and reach its full potential. A safe Hammond will attract young families, young professionals, and businesses of all sizes because of our unique geographic location. A focus on our youth and providing a foundation of positive activities for them to participate in will facilitate creating a safer Hammond by keeping youth away from criminal events and activities. Along with that, we must prepare for sustainable growth; therefore, the infrastructure required to grow will also be crucial.

Background and qualifications
My professional background, education, and community involvement have all prepared me to serve as a thoughtful, engaged, and accountable member of the Hammond City Council. I have two master's degrees, professional experience as a life coach and nutrition coach, and a background in problem-solving, communication, and helping people navigate complex challenges.

\r\n

Main goals
My primary goals on the Hammond City Council are to bring greater transparency and accountability to city government, ensure residents have a meaningful voice in decisions that affect their lives, and address the infrastructure, drainage, and traffic challenges impacting our community.

\r\n

I want to encourage responsible economic development that preserves Hammond's unique character while making our city more affordable, accessible, and safe for everyone.

\r\n

I also hope to strengthen communication between residents and city government, ensure taxpayer dollars are used responsibly, and prioritize practical, long-term solutions over short-term fixes.
